Banana leaf coffins offer a distinctive, sustainable choice for eco-friendly funerals. Handwoven from natural banana plant fibres, they have a warm golden-brown tone and unique organic texture.
The banana plant is one of nature's most renewable resources. Once the fruit is harvested, the plant dies back and regenerates, allowing the fibres to be used with minimal environmental impact. Each coffin is handcrafted by skilled artisans in World Fair Trade Organisation-accredited workshops. Available in traditional or round-ended shapes, each one is 100% biodegradable and suitable for burial or cremation.
